What is Paymaster?
In ERC-4337, a Paymaster is a smart contract that covers gas fees for users, either by sponsoring transactions or allowing gas fees to be paid with ERC-20 tokens instead of native tokens like ETH or MATIC. This abstraction simplifies blockchain interactions, improving the user experience and reducing onboarding friction.
Use Cases for Paymasters:
-
ERC-20 Gas Payments: Users can pay gas fees using ERC-20 tokens instead of the blockchain’s native currency.
-
Sponsored Transactions: Organizations or dApps can cover gas fees to enhance user experience and drive adoption.
Paymasters are particularly valuable for developers creating customer-centric applications, making Web3 interactions more accessible to a broader audience.
Paymasters in Notus APICopied!
The Notus API Paymaster allows users to pay transaction fees using the same token used in the transaction, eliminating the need to hold native tokens.
Our Paymaster contracts are deployed across the following chains:
-
Arbitrum
-
Ethereum
-
Optimism
-
Avalanche
-
Base
-
Polygon
-
Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
This ensures a seamless experience, allowing users to interact with DeFi protocols without managing native tokens for gas.
Paymaster FeesCopied!
Notus API estimates the gas fee before processing the transaction. The final cost may vary slightly due to real-time network conditions, but we are working to improve the accuracy of these estimations.
